James Claridge wins the 2023 Connollys Audi West of Ireland Championship.

James Claridge from Enville Golf Club, England beat Sligo's Barry Anderson to claim the Connolly's Audi West of Ireland Amateur Open Championship.

The 20-year-old secured a superb 6&5 win in the matchplay final of the Centenary event after he overpowered the 2017 champion in the rain-soaked early holes on Tuesday afternoon.

James joins the likes of Pádraig Harrington, Rory McIlroy, and Shane Lowry on the West of Ireland's Roll of Honour.
