The 2025 Audi quattro Cup Galway, Sligo & Ballina took place on June 12th, hosted at the spectacular Carne Golf Links in Belmullet. The course welcomed 126 golfers across 63 teams, all vying for a place in this year’s Irish National Final.
After a day of thrilling competition, Matt Donohue & Pat Quinlan claimed victory with a fantastic score of 44 points, securing the coveted title of 2025 Audi Galway, Sligo & Ballina quattro Cup champions. The pair’s triumph was highlighted by an incredible hole-in-one by Matt on the 5th hole.
Along with the next five top-scoring teams across Ireland, Matt and Pat now qualify for the Audi Ireland National quattro Cup Final at The K Club’s legendary Palmer North Course on September 22nd — just weeks after the world’s top professionals take on the same fairways at the Irish Open. The National Champions will then go on to represent Ireland on the world stage in Oman at the 2025 Audi quattro Cup World Final later this year.
The Audi quattro Cup, now in its 35th year, continues to unite Audi customers with some of the most scenic and prestigious golf courses in Ireland and around the world. Each year, more than 70,000 golfers globally take part, making this the largest amateur golf tournament of its kind.
Alan Burns, General Manager at Audi Ballina commented: “Each year we look forward to welcoming our Connolly’s Audi customers to the quattro cup and this year we were delighted to welcome our guests at the incredible Carne Golf Links in Belmullet. We were lucky on the day with favourable weather, high spirits and some incredible golf played on this challenging links course with our winner Matt Donohue achieving a hole in one on the 5th hole making the day even more momentous and memorable . To host 126 players was wonderful and we welcomed a guest appearance from our Brand Ambassador Aidan O’Shea who assisted with the prize presentation. The Audi quattro Cup is a particularly special event for Connolly’s Audi as we are proud of the opportunity to show our appreciation to our loyal customers. On behalf of everyone at Connolly’s Audi, we’d like to wish all of our finalists the best of luck for the 2025 national final.”
