More room. More comfort. That’s the Passat.​
The Passat Estate Wider, longer and flatter – with its low drag coefficient, in the ninth generation it is still the unmistakable Passat. The all-rounder now has an overall sporty design with Tornado lines, a striking front, broad shoulders – and the bright red Volkswagen logo at the rear, which is emphasised by a light strip.

In two equipment lines (Business, R-Line) and with numerous optional packages, you can customise your Passat even more.

     Numerous options. Lots of freedom. The Passat’s interior combines elegant design with spacious layout. The gear lever is now positioned behind the steering wheel and makes space in the centre console for a bigger stowage compartment. You have the option of enhancing the interior of your Passat with a range of features, including 2- or 3-zone Air Care Climatronic air conditioning system (with enhanced air filter with activated carbon), background lighting in a choice of 10 or 30 colours, individually adjustable central armrest with cup holder and tablet/mobile phone holder, large tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof with tinted glass and sun blind, and two equipment lines with a wealth of optional packages to further customise your Passat.
    Arrive more relaxed. With numerous massage functions, the optional ergoActive plus seats with leather or ArtVelours covers make even longer journeys an entirely relaxed experience. You and your front passenger can optionally enjoy a 10-chamber pressure point massage. With its automatic seat ventilation and air conditioning, you can heat and ventilate the seat cushion and backrest separately, depending on the equipment line and package. In automatic mode, the ergoActive seat sets your personal feel-good climate automatically – it adjusts to your preferred settings with sensors for temperature and humidity, and you can also choose between three Smart Climates – hot, dry, or cool. The outer seats can also be individually heated at the rear in three levels.
    More storage volume. More options. The well thought-out space concept provides you up to 1,920 litres in luggage compartment volume. That’s 40 litres more compared to the predecessor model (with folded down rear bench seat it’s even up to 140 litres).

    The optionally available Easy Open & Close function makes loading and unloading especially easy for you – the luggage compartment lid can be opened and closed with a simple foot movement under the boot.

       Twice as good. The plug-in hybrid delivers combined system power thanks to the mix of electric motor and TSI petrol engine: for short trips, such as in city traffic, you can drive in all-electric mode. For greater range without charging stops, the plug-in hybrid switches automatically to the petrol engine – depending on the power level and equipment variant with a maximum pure electric range of up to 133 km.

      Free hands for greater comfort. Just leave the car key in your pocket: Thanks to Keyless Access, your Passat unlocks and locks the doors automatically as soon as you approach or move away from the vehicle – all without touching the door handles. You can even use the infotainment system to choose which doors to lock or unlock. The engine can be started at the press of a button, again with no need for a key.

      The Easy Open/Close function allows the boot to be opened and closed by moving your foot slightly underneath the rear bumper – which is practical if you have your hands full.
      Dynamic Light Assist The optional Dynamic Light Assist can prevent other road users from being dazzled by your main beam headlight. The system detects oncoming vehicles and vehicles ahead and masks them out from your main beam area. Dynamic Light Assist can also help reduce dazzling from reflective traffic signs. On motorways, it detects vehicles in the oncoming lane and masks them out from the main beam area. In built-up areas, the system automatically switches from main beam to dipped beam, allowing you to drive longer and more often with the main beam on. Streets are thus better illuminated and obstacles can be detected earlier.
      Exterior Design Beautifully streamlined. In two equipment lines (Business, R-Line) and with numerous optional packages, you can customise your Passat even more.
      Exciting Feature Connect with your vehicle. Check the remaining range, for example, or whether the light is switched off or windows and doors are closed. Keep an eye on your vehicle at home and on the road with the Volkswagen app and the VW Connect online services.
