1. Electrics.

1. Driver and front passenger airbags: visual check of airbag unit for exterior damage.

2. Tyres

1. Check condition and wear pattern of all tyres, thread depth recorded.

3. Vehicle from Below

1. Engine & engine compartment
2. Gearbox, final drive and drive shaft bellows.
3. Brake system
4. Under body protection (especially area of PVC sealing cap)
5. Exhaust System
6. Track rods ends
7. Swivel joints

1. Engine & components in engine compartment.

Volkswagen Maintenance Check

1. Electrics

1. Front lights – Check function: side lights, dipped beam, main beam, fog lights, turn signals, hazard warning lights.
2. Rear lights – Check function: Brake lights, tail lights, reversing lights, rear fog lights, number plate light, turn signal, hazard warning lights, luggage/ load compartment lights.
3. Interior and glove compartment lights, cigarette lighter, sockets, warning lamps and horn.
4. Vehicle System test
5. Service internal display: reset

2. Vehicles Exterior

1. Door arrester and security pins
2. Windscreen wash/ wipe system, spray jet settings
3. Windscreen wiper blades

3. Vehicle From Below

1. Engine oil: drain or extract. Renew oil filter
2. Poly V-belts
3. Manual gearbox/final drive
4. Front & rear brake pads/ linings: Check thickness

4. Engine Compartment

1. Engine oil: Replenish
2. Windscreen wash/ wipe system. Top up with fluid
3. Cooling system: check frost protection and coolant level,
4. Power assisted steering: Check oil level
5. Brake fluid level: check
6. Battery: Check

5.  Final Check

1. Tyre inflation pressure of all 4 wheels and spare wheel
2. Headlight settings
3. Next Service sticker
4. Perform road test.
